art is a cultural activity field, in the person on account of her talent, abilities and skills trouble to express her feelings and thoughts by a self-created work or by an action. If the expression exists in a work (object, thing) which after his completion also other people can perceive sensually, it is "pedagogic" art; if the expression exists in an action, he is bound to the bodily presence of the artist, it is "explaining" art.
Gallery (galleries) are called in connection with the pedagogic art generally primarily or exclusively for the exhibition by pieces of art used rooms.
The word Art calls in the farthest sense every developed activity which is founded on knowledge, practise, perception, image and intuition (remedial art, art of the free speech). In the narrower sense the results of specific human activity which are not fixed unambiguously by functions are named with it. Art is a human cultural product, the result of a creative process. The piece of art stands mostly at the end of this process, however, can be same since the modern age also the process. Exercising ones of the art in the narrower sense are called artist.

Forms of expression and technologies of the art have strongly increased since beginning of the modern age, thus with the photograph in the pedagogic art. Today with the showing arts, music and literature forms of expression of the new media can be also added like radio, television and Internet. The classical division becomes less important at the latest since the last decades of the 20th century with the search for the whole piece of art. Art types like the installation or the area of the media art do not know the classical basic division any more.
